Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on the 14th of March 1997, in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. At the 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in one Games and she was the first gymnast to earn three consecutive world all-around titles (2013-15). Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. The Biles family grew up in the metropolitan areas of Houston. Simone began to be interested in gymnastics while she was just six. Coach Aimee Borman took her to Bannon's Gymnastix, where they went for an excursion. Biles was awarded a gold medal in floor exercises and also a bronze in vault during the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the top level of competition in the year 2011. In less than two years, she was a dominant competitor in the sport. Biles stood out by her consistent performance, her enthusiasm and level of difficulty that she included in each event--vault bar, uneven bars the balance beam, and the ground exercise.
