Ayesha Takia Azmi is acting in Hindi movies since 1986. In 2004, Ayesha Takia won the Filmfare Best Debut Award for her starring performance in Taarzan The Wonder Car which served as her acting debut. The subsequent films she appeared in include Paathshaala (2009) Wanted (2010) Salaam-E-Ishq (2007, 2008) and Socha Na Tha (2010). Her debut cameo was the commercial for Complan, the popular healthy drink. Shahid Kapoor and she were featured in the famous commercial "I'm Complan girl, I'm Complan boy". Ayesha displayed moral courage in criticizing her politician husband Abu Azmi, a Samajwadi Party politician. In a PETA advert, she stated that she's vegan. In 2006, the actress was named in the top 100 most desirable women in India. Ayesha Takia's cheeks, lips and eyes have been filled with swelling.
